1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, work the same way, and this policy covers them too.

2. The cookies we use

We only use cookies the Website needs to work and cookies that remember a choice you made. We use no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, so the law does not require your consent for ours; this page tells you what they are.

• gamblersadvice-session (strictly necessary): keeps your session, language and login while you browse. It expires after 2 hours without activity.
• XSRF-TOKEN (strictly necessary): protects forms against cross-site request forgery. It expires with your session.
• remember_web_… (strictly necessary, only if you tick "Remember me"): keeps you logged in between visits until you log out.
• appearance (preference): remembers whether you chose the light, dark or system theme. It is kept for one year.
• sidebar_state (preference, account area only): remembers whether the side menu is open. It is kept for 7 days.
• cookie_notice (local storage, preference): remembers that you closed the cookie notice.

3. Third-party cookies

Other companies can set cookies only after an action of yours:

• the game provider, when you click "Play Demo" on a game page;
• casino operators and affiliate networks, on their own websites, after you follow a link to them;
• Google, when you choose to sign in with Google.

Those cookies are governed by the third party's own policy.

4. Managing cookies

You can delete and block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the strictly necessary cookies, logging in and posting will not work.
